Malachi 2:7-8 For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. But you have turned aside from the way. You have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says the Lord of hosts.The verses reminded me of the importance of godly leadership. It reminded me of my responsibility to guard my soul from "turning aside from the way of the Lord." If I don't, then the impact will most likely (1) impact others and cause them to stumble, and (2) reflect poorly on the character of Jesus Christ and His good covenant.
