Influences

I was asked on Monday, "Who are some of your favorite authors?" Where does a book-addict begin to answer that question? However, one of the people who have had a huge impact on my thinking is D.A. Carson. I had never read this biography of him, but it made me respect him even more. Why has he had such an influence on me?

1. He has written my favorite commentary of any single book of the Bible.
   
   
2. He has written my favorite daily devotional book.
   
   
3. He has written my favorite book on prayer.
   
   
4. He has written one of my favorite books on contemporary church trends.
   
   
5. He has written and edited my favorite book on worship.
   
   
6. He has edited my favorite 1-volume commentary on the Bible.

I probably could list more, but I will stop there.
